Out of one’s league (someone/something is out of someone's league)

 

1. someone or something is too good or expensive for someone to have

 

2. Not within the scope of one's skills

 

능력밖인, 수준이 맞지 않는, 넘볼수 없는 (사람 혹은 사물이 누군가가 갖기엔 너무 좋거나 비싼 것을 말하거나 개인의 능력 범위내에 있지 않음을 의미한다.)

 

 

Example)

 

She's out of your league, Son.

 

아들아, 그 애는 네가 탐낼 여자가 아니야.

 

 

An expensive car is out of your league right now, don't you think?

 

비싼 차는 지금 네 수준에 맞지 않아. 그렇게 생각하지 않니?

 

 

When I play chess with my Dad, he's out of my league.

 

내가 아빠와 체스를 하면 난 그의 상대가 되질 않는다.
