used in expressions that relate to being able to see the difference between two very similar things or people:

 

어느 게 어느 건지, 누가 누군지 (2개의 매우 비슷한 사물이나 사람의 차이를 구분하지 못하는 것과 관련된 표현으로 사용됨)

 

 

Example)

 

For the first few days the babies look so alike, people can’t tell which is which.

 

처음 며칠동안 아기들은 너무 비슷해 보여서 누가 누군지 구분하기 힘들다.

 

 

I'm not quite sure which is which.

 

뭐가 뭔지 잘 모르겠어.

 

 

Honestly, they look the same and I can't tell which is which.
