worth a try

 

 

deserving of an attempt. This is used either for past actions whose initial aim failed,

 

or for future actions that may not be successful.

 

시도할 만한 가치가 있는 (애초의 목표가 실패한 과거의 행동이나 성공할 것 같지 않은 미래의 행위에 사용된다)

 

 

Example)

 

I'm not sure this will work, but it's worth a try.

 

난 이게 잘 될 거라고 확신하진 않았지만 해볼만 한 것 같아.

 

 

It would be great to have (take) a day off next Monday. Shall we ask the boss if we can?

 

It's worth a try. He might say yes.

 

다음주 월요일날 하루 쉬었으면 좋겠다. 그럴수 있는지 상사한테 물어볼까?

 

시도해 볼만해, 아마 그러라고 할꺼야.

 

 

have (take) a day off  : 하루 휴가를 얻다

 

He is taking a day off today.  (그분 오늘 휴가에요)
